Wrong again, on the same subject. I'll help you - FTN stands for
"FidoNet Technology Network" ... *NOT* FidoNet specifically. This
fxsNet *IS* a FTN. So is MicroNet, tqwNet, HobbyNet, ArakNet, etc...
This differentiates it from a QWK-style message network, for example.
Virtually any other network in common use today on BBSes is a FTN.
Now you know. I would have thought that a "BBS programmer" would know such basic things.

Perhaps that's why your software is in such widespread use. LOL

For future reference, with synchronet, how do you twit someone with

    Here's the basic info: https://wiki.synchro.net/config:twitlist.cfg

You would specify it as "Al" only, not "Al*" or similar.

Also, the filter acts on messages *FROM* somebody, not *TO* somebody.
Not likely to see a message from "All".

Not that it matters at all, but yes, FTN is the *technology* of FidoNet, which originated at effectively the same thing - FidoNet running on FTN. Othernets were then carved out 7-4096.

I know you think you're being clever and really slinging the "gottems", but it's honestly a bit embarrasing to witness. You're arguing like a 10 year old would with 'ACKUALLY'. You've resorted (quite a few messages back) to this tactic with everyone else that doesn't agree with your hate. By all means, carry on, but damn lol. Maybe I'll try one: You keep using double spaces in your typing. We stopped that years ago when moving to computers from keyboards. Make sure to take your meds today.

Be careful there. I am not sure about QWK networks, but the
synchronet twitlist DOES indeed delete messages both TO *and* FROM
whoever's handles you have in there for messages processed by
    sbbsecho (FTN messages).

So, once you add "fubar" to the twitlist, you will see no more new
messages written by fubar, or written to fubar.

If the filter matches on something similar, you won't see those,
either if you are using one of the wildcards.

I addressed that earlier, as it was of the quality of wishing people a Merry Christmas, and people don't pitch a fit over that.

You'd be surprised. I don't care much about Christmas and in fact I feel very Scrooge-like towards it, but I still have noticed a push from certain people to remove the Christmas part of Christmas and will in fact get angry when they see Merry Chrsitmas written somewhere, to the point there is now some institutnional push behind it.

It was honestly hateful. There is nothing wrong with a person being who they >> are.

That is good to know. I was wondering if I was supposed to feel bad because I am a pedo serial racist killer with a part-time job as a torturer for some banana regime, but now I know it is ok to be who I am I feel great.

An interesting (not) attempt at humor.

Actually I am reducing the argument to absurd in a tongue-in-cheek way but if you want the evil side of Arelor instead you can have it next.

The notion that there is nothing wrong with a person being who he is is situational and the idea that such principle is universal it is absolutely bonkers and ultimately leads to stagnation.

See, if I am a fatass it is GREAT if I am not happy with being as fatass because that way I might decide to put an end to it and get fit. Complacency causes stagnation, discomfort is cause for improvement.

Or you can also choose to believe it is ok for random BBS shitposters to be BBS shitposters and shitpost because there is nothing wrong with a BBS shitposter being who he is and filling BBS with shitposts.
