• Dial Up Testing Help

From slacker@21:3/193 to All on Tue Sep 1 00:59:20 2026
    Hi All,

Curious if anyone is able to help test my dial up set up.

Other than NE BBS, I also wrote another BBS in OSS Action! for the Atari 8bit on my Atari 800. Usually I have it online for telnet connection s through my Fujinet but I've recently worked on a module for it that accepts connections through dial up using my Atari XM301 modem.

From my one phone line to the other, I'm able to dial in fine with little noise but so far I've had two people try and didn't have any luck getting a connection.

    Some things to note:
    * The board is running on real hardware. It only accepts 300baud connections.
    * It's an ATASCII board but it will give you a very basic ASCII version if you're not connected with an ATASCII term.
    * You should be able to connect with either original hardware or a modern computer. I'm able to connect here with SyncTerm in Atari mode over my USB hardware modem at 300baud.

    * The 'Press enter prompt' doesn't show on connect due to a bug but if you press enter after connecting, it will load up the log in screen.

Phone number is below if anyone is able to give it a try!

    (631) 314-6554

    Thanks!!
