From what I could tell though, TradeWars 2002 doesn't work with the original dosemu.. That's the reason I switched to dosemu2. Overall I haven't had much problem with dosemu2, so I'll stick with that. TradeWars 2002 seems to be a fairly popular door game.

It did and does work under dosemu *if* you are running it on a system/vm that you have not upgraded beyond where DPMI support was removed.

Once DPMI support was dropped, if you upgraded to the new linux kernel then, yes, it no longer works with dosemu. I wonder how they accounted for that in dosemu2?

    Regarding TW2002:

It does run again now that DOSBOX-X is a thing.

Hmmm... As I recall, doors don't work properly with original DOSBOX.
Can you run DOS doors under Linux using DOSBOX-X ?

I am able to run DOS doors, including TW2002, under DOSBOX-X. Caveat -- the system I am running all of my DOS doors under is a DOS BBS that is also running under DOSBOX-X. I have no idea if you can use DOSBOX-X to run doors in association with a linux BBS such as Synchronet. I have never tried it here.

Ahhh OK, that's cool. I haven't tried it either on SBBS/Linux, but
somehow have a memory from somewhere that tells me it doesn't work, for reasons that I can't recall. :-) Maybe somebody else will chip in with
    some more info. Thanks.
